Ok, last plea here... We are in need of four board members for next year in order to keep the LDA chapter going. The President-elect position is the main one. It's not as scary as it sounds. We do most of our communiation via email and so there are maybe 4-6 board meetings a year, which occur in the evening on a day that works for the majority. The President elect is there for support and to learn, and they apply for CEU's for member meetings (a very easy process). It would look phenomenal in your portfolio! No prior board experience is necessary, and the length of time as a RD is not a factor. The other 3 positions are for the nominating committee. This is a good position to get your feet wet if you are on the fence of joining the board. Unfortunately, if we cannot fill more of the board positions, there will not be a LDA next year. Please call me directly if you have any questions. 313-820-4575 ...
